Looking for a part time Loss Prevention Officer to work weekends and an occasional weekday. Shifts vary and average work hours are around 24 a week.

Overview

Search for, respond to & handle any security problems, issues, concerns & disaster emergency situations in accordance with all policies, procedures & regulations to ensure the safety & security of the property's assets, guests, & fellow associates.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities of Gold Key|PHR hourly Associates:

 

1. Know your job. Complete job skills training and possess a clear knowledge of the job, know property standards, listen attentively in Pre-shift and ask for clarification of assignments and expectations. Apply experience and training to accomplish tasks.

2. Be on time. Follow attendance guidelines and reports to work on time, and in uniform and follow clock in and out procedures.

3. Be on stage. Associates are friendly, approachable, and always willing to assist. Associates must follow property personal appearance standards, is well groomed, in uniform and practices good personal hygiene

4. Serve. Conduct yourself professionally and collaboratively with Guests and fellow Associates an in accord with the company’s service culture, “The Keys to Making it Right.”

5. Work smart. Understand the needs of the shift, use resources properly, complete all assignment methodically and promptly without losing attention to details.

6. Use your tools. Use the approved tools and checklists to complete assigned tasks.

7. Measure Up. Associate produces work that meets the standards of the department in terms of volume and quality. Associate meets goals and measures as defined by Department Leadership.

8. Respect the space. Keep your work area clean and organized. Report any deficiencies promptly to your Supervisor.

9. Be safe. Report unsafe work conditions or practices and safety or security violations in accordance with company policy.

10. Support the Team: Cooperate with other associates and supervisors striving to create a positive work environment. Support team efforts through carrying out responsibilities in a constructive and professional manner.

11. Other duties as assigned.

1. The primary focus of the position is to provide a safe and secure environment for guests and associates by preventing or reducing Loss Prevention risks through patrols, audits and interaction with Property Management and staff.

2. Patrol all areas of the hotel/resort property including parking lots and reports on condition of the asset.

3. Supports the MOD by responding to incidents including: eviction, injury, bad behavior, missing property, property damage.

4. Document a concise security report on a daily log including incidents of theft, accidents and safety violations, losses of property or personal injury to guest or employee.

5. Maintain familiarity of all hotel disaster and emergency policies, procedures and regulations; respond immediately to emergency alarms or calls for help, determine course of actions, notify appropriate authorities.

6. Maintain calls for service and prompt calls at the property to ensure that guest are taken care of during times that housekeeping and engineering are not on property.

7. Provide the Loss Prevention Supervisor the needed information for the nightly security report, including but not limited to: guest incidents, lighting, safety issues, asset protection, conditions of the property, and inventory levels for housekeeping closets.

8. Maintain a professional and composed demeanor during stressful situations, always treating guests respectfully with a high level of customer service.

9. Creation of work orders to correct any safety/standards issues for Operations to address.

10. Respond quickly and calmly to emergency situations.

11. Enforce rules for non-guest or solicitors at the property based on the policy.

12. Completes all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Type Qualification
Education High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience Minimum 1 year prior experience in loss prevention or related security experience preferred.
Skill Valid vehicle operator's permit to drive security vehicle.
Skill Ability to tolerate high noise conditions on in-facility tours and exposure to weather conditions on outside tours.
Skill Courteous manner in dealing with public.
Skill Valid CPR & First Aid certification required. Must be maintainted and provided to HR annually.
